Butterflies

Over a year ago Abby got a butterfly kit from her Grandma. She has used it a lot throughout the year to keep all her bug captures in the netted cage but we hadn't ordered the caterpillars for it yet. After we moved to Washington by some miracle I was able to find the order form and after tons of waiting we got our caterpillars.  All the kids had so much fun seeing them go through all their stages and turn into butterflies. We had names for each one Lily, Shyie, Sprinkles, and Lemon. After keeping them for a bit we decided to let them free. We went to a nearby park/lake and made a night of it. A few of them stayed on their fingers before they flew off. Abby wants to go back to that park soon so she can visit her little friends!

We finished the night with a picnic and playing at the playground. It got too cold to try and swim in the lake which was totally fine by this mama!
