Green Lake Park (April 2012)

We can not complain about the weather here just yet because every weekend has been beautiful. This makes it really easy to handle all the rain during the week. We wanted to get out and explore so we went to Green Lake Park. It is a great park with a paved path around the Lake. It was super busy but still a really fun day. We didn't know their would be paddle boats but decided to be spontaneous and go for it. Michael didn't want to go so he stayed with me and the baby.  Later he told me that he was scared his head would go under the water. 

The kids were wishing I had brought their swim suites so they could swim, but it was really just nice to get your feet in and cool off. Mike ended up saving a little boys life that day. He was swimming and went under. Mike saw him struggle and not be able to get up, he was not by his parents. Mike was pretty far from him as well so he just started yelling and then ran in the water towards him. Another guy right in front of the kid, who was playing his guitar, heard and saw Mike coming and was able to get to the boy first. The little boy was just fine but it really scared his parents.
