Flooded

A month ago we had a huge rain storm come through Boise that lasted a couple days. Our neighborhood is not so equipped with a good drainage system so the end result was a massive pool of water in our back yard. I tend to over react to things so when I told Mike we had two feet of water on the side of our yard dripping under our house he gave me the oh sure Amber look and response. An hour later he discovered that his beautiful and smart wife was actually right. He tried to fill buckets with the water and take them to the street but after about 70 gallons he decided to call my dad who has an electric pump. We were able to clear the water out in a couple of hours and had no major problems with the house. My two nieces Morgan and Rylee came with my dad and couldn't resist playing in the massive puddle at our park down the street.

The water on the side was almost against the house. It was a lot worse than it looks in the pictures.

Mike told Abby she could go swimming out back in the dirty cold water and so of course she ran to get her swim suit and boots, luckly she was too scared to really go out there so we did a little swimming party in a warm bath tub.

I hope the water wasn't contaminated, I don't think their mother's were aware of this adventure!
