Kate Lynee

Kate Lynee born 6-16-14 8lbs. 10oz. 20 inch. long! She was another easy delivery. I went in at 7 am. I had a great nurse Brook who really fought for what I wanted. I am a big baby and she really worked well with me. My doctor broke my water by 7:30 or 8:00 and then I got my epidural at 9:30 and was started on Petocin. by 11:02 I was a 5cm and 60% the nurse stripped my membranes at this time and by 11:15 I was 8cm. I started getting really uncomfortable in my right hip and could feel pressure. The nurse checked me and was super surprised that I was ready to go. When they got me into position to push I felt much better. 4 pushes later at 11:38 Kate was born.

My sister talked me into pulling her out and they did all her vital checks while she was on my chest. I was surprised how this calmed me down and I enjoy the experience so much more. I usual get super shaky and have a hard time holding the baby so this was a nice change. Kate was a little in shock and every time someone new held her she cried. She just wanted to nurse and be in my arms. After a few hours she settled down and has been a great baby since. She loves to nurse and puts up with a lot of toddler hands from Olivia. We are adjusting pretty well to 5 but there are time that I feel like I am going to go crazy when Kate is crying and we need to get out the door or get something done.

My sister did some awesome shots at her house and then I did some more on my own. It was hard to be motivated to take these but I am so glad we got them done! I just love her.
